For organizations

Interested in Private Spaces for your company, university, or community? Read the overview, the technical design, and then apply when you’re ready.

Privacy & data requests

Exercise your rights under GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA, LGPD, or any applicable law. We verify your identity before fulfilling a request, and erasure requires step-up authentication by the handling officer. Requests, verification, and outcomes are logged.

For data that an organization controls inside its private space, contact that organization first — they are the data controller for their members. Geo is the controller for the public app and the control plane.

Your rights

Under GDPR and similar laws, you have the following rights with respect to personal data we hold about you in the control plane:

Access (Art. 15)
Confirm whether we process data about you and obtain a copy.
Rectification (Art. 16)
Correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
Erasure (Art. 17)
Have your data deleted where no longer necessary, consent is withdrawn, or processing is unlawful.
Restriction (Art. 18)
Limit how we process your data while a dispute or verification is pending.
Portability (Art. 20)
Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format and transmit it to another controller.
Object (Art. 21)
Object to processing based on legitimate interests, including direct marketing such as the waitlist.
Withdraw consent (Art. 7(3))
Where processing is based on consent (waitlist, optional email verification), withdraw it at any time.
No automated decisions (Art. 22)
We do not subject you to decisions based solely on automated processing with legal or similarly significant effects.
Lodge a complaint (Art. 77)
You may complain to your local data protection authority. For EU residents, find yours at the EDPB list of national supervisory authorities. UK residents may contact the ICO.

How we process — context for your request

For the legal bases of each processing activity, see Privacy Notice §6. For retention periods that apply to your data, see §7. For the privacy hard wall between public and private spaces, see §4.
